The call for SAGE projects is opening
Do you have a great idea for a project that could benefit students, but you don鈥檛 have the budget to make it happen? The 吃瓜社区 Foundation may be able to help you!
Student Academic Growth and Enrichment (SAGE) projects should clearly improve the academic or para-academic experience at 吃瓜社区 and go above and beyond the competencies required for students to graduate. This means, for example, that a request for funding to invite a special guest speaker can be considered but a request to purchase textbooks required for course instruction is not eligible. The maximum amount of funding you can request for a project is $5,000.
Past projects the 吃瓜社区 Foundation has supported include an intercollegiate blitz chess tournament, a conference for students in 吃瓜社区 Model United Nations (DCMUN), the development of an augmented reality mobile app called AR Cit茅, a peer math tutoring service, and the Social Change and Solidarity project in Cuba.
The application period closes on Friday, Nov. 14 at 11:59 PM. A selection committee will meet to review all proposals in December. Applicants can expect news by the end of January 2026. Please note that proposals are now only being considered once a year so there will be NO call for project proposals in the Winter 2026 semester.
