Foster parents wanted for Painted Lady butterflies
This is your invitation to gather as a community with your colleagues and foster a beautiful Painted Lady Butterfly.
鈥淐aring for such small creatures together helps us recognize the importance of every living thing and the role they play in the ecosystem, reconnecting people, community and Nature,鈥� said Sophie La Font of the Office of Sustainability.
To express interest, e-mail sustainability@dawsoncollege.qc.ca if you would like to become a foster parent. They will take note of your interest and email you with a pick-up time when they get confirmation, which is expected to be the second week of September. Pick up 4A.0
Butterfly foster teams will receive a pop-up tent and food. All you need to do is have a secure indoor location out of direct sunlight to keep them safe and watch in awe and when they eclose, you can enjoy liberating them in the Peace Garden on campus.
